In het derde jaar van Communication and Multimedia Design ben ik met de studie naar Tokyo geweest. Voor een opdracht aan de Universiteit werd ons gevraagd om een digitale wereld en een fysieke wereld te koppelen. De Japanse studenten bleken heel anders te werk te gaan en dat heeft ons geinspireerd dit project, leuker te maken.
With school we went to Tokyo and we got this project. We needed to make an application that connects a digital world to the fysical world. We decided to make an app that connects with a bracelet. You need to fill in your interest and when you walk past someone on the street, the bracelet will light up. When you "match" the app will give you a conversation starter. You can then chat with previous matches.
After visiting Tokyo we felt like the design needed to be more fun and less static. The first version of the app was practical and useable on confrences, the second version was more a fun app and the design needed to show that. We choose a colorful pallette and simple but fun icons.
